At NIKAN, were looking for a Junior PHP Developer in Lithuania whos eager to grow while helping us build scalable e-commerce integrations. Youll work closely with experienced developers, get mentorship, and gain hands-on experience across APIs, databases, and modern backend tools.

Your Mission

• Build Core Features: Implement and maintain backend functionalities using modern PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Learn APIs in Action: Help build and support stable REST API integrations connecting different e-commerce systems.
• Master Your Environment: Use Docker to set up and manage your local dev setups and grow your DevOps skills.
• Work with Data: Write clean, efficient SQL queries and collaborate with the team on database design (MySQL/MongoDB).
• Grow Code Quality: Write unit tests, contribute to documentation, and learn best practices from the team.
• Solve Real Problems: Deliver integrations for platforms like plentyOne, JTL-Software, Shopware 6, and Mirakl with guidance and support.
  
  

• PHP Foundations: 02 years of professional or significant project experience with PHP. Experience with Laravel is a strong plus.
• API Curious: Youve built or consumed REST APIs and want to deepen your skills.
• Developer Tools: Familiarity with core tools like Docker, Git, and the basics of a CI pipeline.
• Database Knowledge: Solid fundamentals in relational databases (SQL) and a logical, troubleshooting mindset.
• Eager to Learn: A genuine curiosity about the e-commerce and marketplace integration landscape - and excited to get better fast
• Ownership Mindset: You take pride in your work and enjoy collaborating to deliver features.
• Communication Skills: Good working proficiency in English. German is a plus.
• It's a Bonus If You Have: (Don't worry if you don't have these yetwe're happy to teach you!)
• Exposure to Shopware 6 plugins, Mirakl, or JTL APIs.
• Familiarity with queueing systems (e.g., Redis, RabbitMQ).
• Basic experience with testing frameworks.
